Dear Mr. Mill:
I just wanted to commend K-Rock on their efforts for trying to support the local music scene. This is a very admirable thing, and we need more organizations that try to help great musicians make it. At the same time I wanted to express my concerns about the production company that you had representing you (Manistee Productions). I attended the show, last Thursday, as a spectator, and friend of a few of the bands who were playing. These bands were told that since they received their tickets less than a week away from their show, that tickets sales were not going to matter. Instead, what happened was, when the bands arrived, they were given much grief over not selling tickets, some not even getting to play because of it. The entire thing was extremely disorganized, with nobody knowing what was going on, including set times, dates, etc. The following is a post on manistee's message board, in response to complaints from the bands about how disorganized the show was:

There was no advertisment except on the radio, what other kind of adv. did you want, what kind did you guy's do NONE because you sold no ticket's why maybe because nobody want's to see you play, becaus you SUCK, and are bunch of cry babies, that you had to e-mail K-Rock, news flash I set this who thing up you idiots, oh and by the way I do most of the bookings in the clubs and bars in the city, and I will guarantee you guy's will never be booked in the city of pittsburgh again. "
Since this was posted my the owner of what is supposed to be a "production company", I think it just shows complete unprofessionalism, and I was quite shocked when I read it. I guess, all I'm really trying to say is, that I really respect the music your station plays, and the local music programs you are trying to setup, and I would hate to see your image and reputation get a bad name, from the start, because of a fly-by-night production company that you got mixed up with. I just hope you will consider these things when choosing these kinds of companies in the future. Thanks you very much for your time, and again, nobody, that I know, blames any of this on your station, because you didn't know, but we hope it will help in your future decisions.
Sincerely,
Jason Sturgill, Co-owner
